HUT Dewa Kwan Im 2025: Kelenteng Liong Toh Kiong Palembang Gelar Perayaan Sakral Penuh Doa

The sacred event was attended by several important figures, including the Chairman of Walubi South Sumatra, Tjik Harun SE SH MH; the Secretary of PTITD Komda Agung Komda South Sumatra Hengky Saputra; the community leader of the Theng clan, Ko Abeng; as well as the Chairman of the Theng Clan Temple, Sahroni and his deputy, Tukino, and other temple administrators.
Sahroni, the Chairman of the Theng Clan Temple, accompanied by Abok, Head of Public Relations, explained the series of celebratory rituals. "The celebration of the Lord Kwan Im's birthday began with the Ceng Keng ritual at 6:00 a.m. WIB, followed by Ciok Siu at 10:00 a.m. WIB, and concluded with Khokun in the afternoon," he said. After a series of rituals, the congregation enjoyed a simple meal together.
According to Sahroni, after the administrators performed the rituals, the congregation took turns praying. The temple also provided karaoke entertainment to strengthen ties.
On this occasion, the administrators of the Liong Toh Kiong Temple offered a special prayer for the Theng clan to be blessed with good health, abundant prosperity, and protected from danger. Furthermore, prayers were offered for the people of South Sumatra and Palembang as a whole, to be healthy, prosperous, and protected from all dangers. "We also pray for our nation and state to become more advanced and peaceful," Syahroni concluded.
